Squeaking sound from engine bay while engine running

wondering if any of the F20 116 or 118 bros have encountered squeaking sound coming from running engine? Only noticed it today. Sounds like something not well lubricated.

You want to describe under what other conditions you get the squeaking? Cannot be your engine mounts wear down already right?

Normal engine running, night and day. Got squeaking sound. Engine was at idle in park mode.

Since it's under warranty, just bring it to PML or MA for peace of mind.

You can consider using your phone to record it at it's worst then bring to PML or MA to have it looked at. If the problem doesn't seem bad then take out your phone. I did this with my Golf's DSG the technician nothing to say after that.

Yeap, that is what i did with my previous Golf. I play the recording on my phone at the VCS service centre at top volume they lan lan also nuthing to say and was due to engine bearings worn out after 28000km.

This morning wanted to do that but sound disappeared. Wait and see when sound come back. Have a appt in Sept 1st week with PML on start stop issue so prob will do it same time.

That why keep car stock first to see what else crops up if any.

Thks. Have you faced a similar problem before which made you speculate that it is the car's belts?

Haha. Joke aside. How is it? Think might b the belt lah. Get pml 2 change it. Make sure they dun spray sth on it n pass it back.
