Something is rolling! e90

Hi all,

Anyone has this issue before?

There's this super irritating sound like a small ball or object is rolling somewhere inside the car. It comes only when i do a sharper or faster turn ard a bend or when braking harder or accelerating.

I tried to look under the 2 front seats, nothing..
Look in the trunk, nothing...
Took my whole rear seat up, nothing.. cleaned and vacuum and put back seat.

Still cannot figure out from where!! DAMN IRRITATING!!

When I look under the 2 front seats, there is this 2 opening from the floor at each side, looks like aircon.. I tried to put the magnet picker inside and nothing came out...

ANYONE CAN HELP?!

I already checked under the seat for any loose cables. All secured. Cannot find damn sian...

could be

1) suspension joint loose.
2) anti sway bars joint loose.
3) something loose.

Happened to my e90.
For my case, it is the coins but very difficult to take out, so I just leave it there.
You can google using your topic, many cases.

The only place I can think of the coins might drop is into the vent under either of the front seats. I suspected might be some screw and use magnet and nothing came out thus might be coins cause coins are not magnetic..

Still a mystery... maybe I will borescope the vents..

The 2 box under the seat iis not air con vent , it's actually speakers ! Get a very short Philip head screw driver and unscrew that and you will be very amaze how many coins you can find in that it's a hidden treasure

it sounds like sliding, sometimes flipping (coin).
I know it is a coin because I dropped it, I tried to take it back but it just slipped into the vents.

Maybe one day will open the cover as mentioned by Adrian to check.

Btw, the vent is like 2 open pod facing the back. There is a cover with 6 screws under the front seat, that is speakers? I dun think so leh.. Anyway opening this cover is where the coin or object will be collected if it falls inside the vent?

I had my wedding ring dropped into that pod before. Had to unscrew to lift up the cover for "rescue".

Haha! what was your wedding ring doing out of your finger in the car?

Must be pick up a chio bu and take ring off so she wun find out u are married! Haha!

Similar problem. I bought it back to service center..
They said it a loose screw at the rear light. Have to get it change.
