Re: some thought: advice please

Wait for 1-2 years, get a E92 M3.

Re: some thought: advice please

Up it to 300k can get used 997... but then 993 is damn nice... In fact one of the nicest Porsches around.

Re: some thought: advice please

f) check out porsche-sg forum
g) if budget $200K, shd be a boxster S or Cayman S, thats entry level for porsche but its good enough for a start....
h) for porsche, i will go for Sttugard car coz of the 5 years warranty....my buddy juz bought a spyderRS60 (boxster S) for $240K... 3yrs old mileage 24,000km.

anyway i speaks from my experience, sold my Cayman S last year ;) and am looking forward to my first 911 yeah!

Yeah, that's Stuggart pricing. Really it's moot
- If it's Stuggart car, first 5 years servicing is free
- If it's PI, no reason to bring it to them anyway

hi steven,

a) handling is really one of the best... 0-100km modded 335 wins
c) you need to look ard... go for Sttugard cars if possible coz of 5 years warranty
d) porsche ride usually low mileage
e) 5 years warranty including wear n tear....unless u buying > 5yrs old ride

Agree with pongster.

One thing though -- Stuggart's official policy on its pre-owned car is a one year warranty, not balance of the 5 year warranty. You might just want to check it out first.

Also, when comparing car to car, make sure you have their respective options lists for like-to-like comparisons. Options can easily account for tens of thousands of dollars, and in some cases touching 100K.

Re: some thought: advice please

Thanks for all the nice advice.
Will do some research first.

Ya..true...after the rise in COE, 200K isnt enough to buy any 'nice' car now....must up my budget to at least 250k to 280k :(

I have little knowledge on Porsche...

which model are 2+2 ?

I know boxster and Cayman isn;t

Re: some thought: advice please

All the 911s are 2+2 except the GT3........

Re: some thought: advice please

get a 2 seater for fun like the Boxster or Caymen lor, which should meet your initial 200k budget, and then get another 2nd hand MPV for family use, like a 2007 Stream, 65k only. So for 265k, you can get 2 cars, one for chee hong role, one for good hubby and father role.

The +2 in 911 are kinda optimistic though. Good for young children on baby seats, pets, or golf bags...

Yes, but technically, still 2+2, as compared to Boxsters and Caymans.
