Singtel 4G customers on 3G network?

I was shocked when i read today paper on STARHUB users will be first to enjoy 4G calls....all these while i was not aware the call we make thru Singtel (My current Samsung Note 3) is via 3G network.

Why Singtel did not inform customers about this? We were only they inform us we need to pay more on 4G plan.

Bros / Sisters are you aware?

4G is only for your data usage. You are only on 4G data when your phone shows 4G. Else data is still on 3G or HSPA(3.5G) or HSPA+ (3.75G)

4G voice is call VoLTE. I think it's still undergoing test by our local telcos, should be launching very soon.

But not to worry, when you are on 4G voice, they will inform you by saying its time to PAY MORE $$$$ for clearer voice and
by then many people will say... "We don't need clearer voice, 3G voice is very good already....."

SingTel already has VoLTE. First to launch in the region

You are lucky to have 4G during data download, my M1 is most of the time on 3G though I signed for 4G package.
