Rims-Skimming or Re-spray?

Hi, my name is jav. Can i just find out from you guys out there if its recommended to send the rims for skimming or re-spraying or both? Mine is a Harmann rims and its badly scratched. Think of sending in for a touch up. Please advice. Thank you!

Someone mentioned to me before, $250/- @ yew lip.

But i forgot to ask...how long does it take ah?

If it's just the outer lip, it's about $25 a rim. To respray the entire rim, the cost is about $70 per rim. But I'm sure if you're gonna do all four, the price may be cheaper.

If yours is the PG2 or PG3 then Yew Lip can't do it for you becos is alum polish dish need to machine.

Don't quote Rodders name cos will charge $70.00 for re-spray full rim. I know they charge $50.00 per rim and just say from BMW.SG forum and recommanded by anyone, except....

They last until u get another curbing!! hahaha! It seems pretty durable and if there are any faults, u can always go back and ask angie to take a look! Please don't abuse that though!

Yeah price shud be about there...How long does it take?
Me and my friend sent in two sets for full respray bout 4wks ago. His set was done in less than a week while mine was much longer coz I wasnt in a rush and man, the result was superb. Not that I am saying his wasn't kekeke....

Hi there
You hv got the reco as posted by the bros here.
Let me share some experience with you.

I had a set of rims which had quite a bit of curb rash and the outer lip had been skimmed before. I sent em in to YewLip and had the lips of the rims fully restored and the rims fully re-sprayed too.

Look for me if u wanna see how the result looks like this coming meet-up.

Jack, u curb your CSL rims?? Ouch!!

Luckily, your rims are much easier to repair than those 2/3-piece chrome lips!

Sam, Don't think he curb rashed the CSL ones. It's the original 19" M3 rims that was sent in to Yew Lip and they did a fantastic job repairing it.
