Repeated posting of the same content

Is there a forum rule against posting the same content repeatedly, on the same thread, in order to bump it and put it on the New Posts page? This is happening just minutes apart, 2,3,4 times in a row, hogs the "New Posts" page, and kind of hurts its original function.

If other sponsors resort to the same, the New Posts function will become useless and there'll be a lot more wasted time having to manually go through different sections to find out what's really new.

but not too bad, only 1 thread

sure beats the mondays where we have so many threads of discount codes all sent and the copy n paste thingy

Still very irritating..why hog New Posts even if it's one thread? There's already the M section sponsored by Munich.

the new post thing is an auto function by the forum software.....any new posts in any thread will automatically be updated in new posts, regardless of under whatever folder

Exactly, so no point bumping thread 4 times in mere minutes and messing up New Posts when it is not a new post, just a copy paste spamming of the forum.

Actually I am not bothered by the "new post" thing. I can just ignore it (just like spam e-mail)

But because I replied to the thread I keep getting e-mails daily. It has gotten to my nerves that I actually went to unsubscribe from the post.

I have never even been to the subscribed posts control panel before this...

just wondering is there a need for sponsor to post a new thread of the same promotional content in each of the series ?
