For 4 cyl?
Loudness: Remus is louder
Tips design: Both are equally nice IMO but I prefer Supersprint coz some of the models have stagggered tips which fit the bumper contour better.
Price: Remus is usually more expensive
Performance wise: Some say butt feel some say hp gain but for sure u will feel the car seems to release the gas better

U decide....
I m bit biased towards SS coz I used it before I loved it.

Gd Luck

any other bro with valvetronic have use the above muffles and can give me your comments??

I'm using Remus and the butt feel's pretty good. Tip wise, I like the way Remus looks but I must admit that Super Sprint staggered tips looks alot better. However, when it comes to the sound...definitely REMUS!! The low bass tones it produces

oh, how much did u pay for ur remus?? why never choose supersprint in the first place?? TIA....

I used Super Sprint before but didn't really like the sound it produces. I find Remus has a better low growl. That's why I chose Remus for my ride. I paid S$950 for it.

I may be thinking for a change also.

Will this change of exhaust pipes voids the warranty ( from both PML and Manufacturer) ? My 318i car is only 3 weeks old.

Is there a significant increase in the fuel consumption ?

Yes, if you change the whole piece. If you're only changing the muffler, it should not void the warranty. I don't think changing the muffler will affect the fuel consumption. At least it hasn't affected mine.

by the way, heard from some pple that will the sound of remus fade away after sometime, is that right??

IMO, Super Sprint has a more metallic sound and it's not as bassy. Also don't think the sound would fade. It'll only get louder when the fibres wear out in time.

Snowman,

These are some of the threads previously posted to address your concerns.

IMO, Remus sounds bassy for a 4-pot engine, while the SS sounds very metallic for a 6-pot. Have heard SS on a fellow brother's 325 - very low, firm roar.

If you are just changing the muffler, the performance does not vary that much. More of a cosmetic mod.

Hope it helps.

oh... i was quoted $1250 for remus. how did u get it for $950? hee.... by the way, u driving a 4 or 6 pot?

hmm,

$1250 seems a little pricey to me. why not wait till june and get the ACS exhaust during the promotion? not sure abt E46 prices, but for Z4, was told that ACS exhaust is $1850, after the 25% it would be $1388... shell out a bit more, and avoid the warranty issue altogether. think pricing for E46 should be somewhere in this region too.

read in a previous thread that remus actually makes the exhausts for ACS? does this mean that both of them sound similar and will have similar tips?

Dear all,

I still have a list from PML regarding AC Schnitzer Accessories for E46 during their promotion in Aug 04 this year.

Exhaust for 318i
Labour : S$71.40
Exhaust : S$1337.41
Total : S$1408.81 (Exclude 5% GST)

Cheers !

which one???

hi, anymore bro can advise me on which to choose??? esp those that are driving the valvetronic and have try either of the above muffler. i am planning to commit before 2005, hee... cos heard that they will be rising the price lor.

ACS is made by remus factory, but have their own specifications, so shouldnt be regarded as having the exact specifications.

PML told me today that the AC exhaust installation is about $1600. He told me that there is only slight power increase, nothing else in terms of performance. FC wise, no impact.

If you have M3 sport kit, it will fit swee swee. Otherwise, it will have some protrusionon the exclusive model kits.

Re: Remus or Supersprint

yo...jeep chee super sprint is the best...wanna check out my ride? keke... sound not that bad...low base sound...and cheaper than remus....below 1k...
