Recommendation for E39 bodykits?

TLL

Member
Dear bro and sis, aunties and uncles,

Can any kind soul advise me where to get E39 front bumper with bodykits?

My CO just crashed my car's front bumper while reversing out the house... ;-(

Help help!

Thanks!

Re: Recommendation for E39 bodykits?

U can try the stockist Eng Soon. There are essentially 2 kinds of aftermarket body kits out there. The M kit replaces your bumpers. But if u choose AC Schnitzer, then they are mere add-ons to your existing front and rear bumpers.

Re: Recommendation for E39 bodykits?

Bro T6,

Thank you so much for your leads...

Will go over to Eng Soon for a quick look... Btw, can you kindly advise where is this Eng Soon?

Cheers!

Re: Recommendation for E39 bodykits?

bro, u can check the add at the top of the page under resources.

Re: Recommendation for E39 bodykits?

TLL,

Just to point out that there are other brands of E39 bodykits but the M and AC Schnitzer kits are probably the most popular.

Re: Recommendation for E39 bodykits?

Thanks Bro T6,

Really appreciated your expertise on this matter.. I think I rather go for the AC stuffs... Hopefully Eng Soon can provide cheap and good options...

Cheers man!

mate,

Any idea what is the price range for a M5 kit for the E39 ? At least I would have a benchmark before I call the engsoon boys.

A bit out of topic but wanted to know where can I get those folded side mirrors I see on some E39's? Also, can i use back my std motor or do I need to do some mods?

My ride is a 1997 E39. Cheers!!

Dave,

Check with the local boys in KL and thye have some M5 replica kits which are plastic. Look kinda ok. RM 2600 for the front with fog lights, and RM 1500 for the rear with the quad pipes conversion . These are functional quad pipes. Price include painting.

Then again it isn't original. Havent really decided to go ori or replica. The diff is not too much.

You mentioed $2,800 SG dollar is for the front and back ? Is this painted too?

Thanks for you inputs!!

Re: Recommendation for E39 bodykits?

No, Not painted, as they are only supply parts for front, rear, & fog light. if price different not much, why go for rep.
Cheers

Mate,

Was in sunway on Saturday and went to a shop called motorsport division. Quoted me for M5 front bumper, fog lights and spray for RM 2.8K. Good thing is that is is not fiber. It is plastic. Its flexible too.

For the rear, he quoted me RM 1.5K for the bumper, painting and also the quad exhast pipe conversion. ( all four functional ) Might consider these options instead.
