So if p-plate driver thinking of getting Z4, would you recommend?
The newer bimmers are fine.. they have all the electronics to keep you out of trouble anyway.. and there's warranty etc :)

We were discussing really old bimmers as an ownership prospect...

Re: COE BMW

agree with Joon, new car anything is ok, only require more cash to mod & cosmetic the car. E36 need alot of work, not expensive to do up but alot of time needed to restore, my ride has serve me average 80km/day for past 5.5yrs! i did abt 200,000+km in 5.5yrs without a day failing to start the engine.

Re: COE BMW

i think better not think so much at this point of time.
Wait till she PASS THE TP TEST......

Unless you get it from a direct owner, who has spent min 3k up to some even 10k on their car, you can almost be sure that whatever you get from ANY dealer, will be one that has problems.

And when problems i mean suspension, aircon, oil leakage, (engine/gearbox/) etc. Not only do they take money, they take time to rectify. They are major inconvenience and can spend days in a workshop. (All these, reasons why it wont be a good day to day car, unless you're willing to put in time and money to get the problems sorted out right from the start)

sszone mention fuel consumption as well. For the auto you probably get 8km/L ? Don't know what the others are getting cause we vary but i would say 8 to 8.5 is the average. Again, not good for daily to and fro.

In any case, there are 2 me, 2 kinds of day to day drivers.

1. The kind that just wants to get from point A to B
2. The kind that wants to get from point A to B, but enjoys alittle fast pace action every now and then during the journey to point.

So unless shes (2.) again, i dont recommend the car.

my 2cents bud :)

mata... i runing on 6.6KM/L leh... haha but i still drive it as a day to day transportation. avg driving 100km/day haha...

your this dealer on my banned list....haha
teck's recommendation is better, buy from owner should be cheaper compared to dealer.
better still, if the owner is hands-on with the car, that would be a plus point.
my only worry is that your gal fren if she get her p-plate, can she handle a big car like that, die die must install reverse sensors to be safe.
the e34 is much wider n longer, very different from the cars used for learning

i think cars from that dealer arent reali in gd conditions... aniway i totally 100% agree with them. cant trust dealer a single shit they say bout thier coe BMW. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
