Radio distortion F20

Hi friends,

not sure whether many F series BMWs faces his issue but my radio reception is not very sweet. When driving in open spaces there are slight distortions as if you went to basement carparks. Not disturbingly obvious but rather clear to me (maybe i my hearing is good). Went to PML on 2 occasions and even changed the antenna didn't help. i did not do anything on my car. They told me that their test drive cars also similar. My jaw dropped.

All my previous cars (even the previous BMW) dun have this issue. Any owners sharing the same plight?

Hi,

Mine also have same issue.

Not bothering me that much so will wait till first servicing to rectify.

Btw I will do my servicing at MA. Perhaps the techs there will be able to solve.

PML just cannot do it.....

i have this issue also.

battery not grounded properly/antenna not good enough?

anyone solved this issue?

I don't on radio...I like the engine sound...raw and no distortion...

Pml ordered a brand new antenna for me, it didnt help. same issue. i have made an appt with MA. Let u guys know whether if those guys can do magic. anyways those ppl having squeaky cabins need to go get Ur anti friction tape installed. another factory issue. just did so as well. now no more awkward squeaky rubber rubbing sound when going over humps and slopes

Erm...if i am driving a high performance car, i also prefer listening to the exhaust... haha. somemore must change to those damn loud one

My f10 had a bit of occasional distortion in the first few days after collection. Somehow it just "burn in" and no more distortion from then.

good for those who don't experience radio distortion issues. i drove down to MA on a separate occasion. Got the SA seated in the car and went a few rounds. No significant signs of distortion. I left and hit the expressway, came back again. Sianz

lately, i am hearing a faint ticking sound in the cabin as i drive. more audible when travelling at steady speed along expressways. Didnt notice when going slow.
