Hi

As know i am looking for LCI side mirror. As my ride is PFL without power fold.

So do i just need to get the side mirror of cos and just the control module on the driver door with the power fold button?

THen get a workshop to change the mirror and the control module and get the new mirror coded then done? Or there is more than that?

Thank you.

Heavy price to pay for a full conversion..

Admire your effort (& $$$$$) put in to get it done, best of luck.

Cheers.

Didnt think of to LCI the car. Some ass bang me fr the back and push me forward to light knock to the forward car. So front and back need to repair. SO asked the workshop to LCI for me. Some topup fee. So now thinking if its justify the cost to change the side mirror also......

600+ is from a site sponsor.
Maybe if u know how to do wiring and coding, can settle for ard 400?

Like the sportier look of PFL side mirror over the LCI personally.

Cheers.

this window master controller is cheap. should be less than SGD200 from stockists. BTW, the pic you have is for LHD cars.

BUT, you do not need it actually if you can do without the button. you can code the car to use the remote control to fold in the mirrors by holding on to the lock button.

FYI, the master window controller PCB is the same for those with and without folding button. meaning the one with folding function is just a different trim piece and additional button for you to press.

one more thing. if your car does not come with full electrical seats with memory, then it's going cost much more to do the side mirror conversion since additional wiring needs to be done.

Re: Qns: What parts needed to convert PFL Side mirror to power fold LCI side mirror?

Can I ask 2 questions ?

1)how much is the LCI power fold side mirror ?
2)Can I just get the LCI power fold side mirror and do coding only? (meaning dun need any other hardware only remote lock to fold)

Thanks

Thats very nice information from u. If it dun need to change the window master controller and can use the remote lock to fold or unfold. That will save lots of cost. Just need to get it coded. Or can we get the trim piece only and have the fold button and working?

i don't think you can just buy the trim piece from stockist as the usually come in one complete set. a cheaper alternative is to buy the master windows switch from ebay UK which can save you about 50%. in the event the one you bought from ebay dies, you can just switch over the trim pieces to the original one that you have now.

LCI folding mirror comes in a few flavors.

a. folding mirror with heated glass with matte black trim pieces
b. folding mirror with heated glass with glossy black trim pieces
c. folding mirror with auto dim glass with matte black trim pieces
d. folding mirror with auto dim glass with glossy black trim pieces

price wise is cheapest from a to d.

from what i know, the most basic folding side mirror is around $500 to $600 a side brand new from stockist. this does not include the rear mirror cover.

folding mirrors with auto dim will be more expensive due to the glass itself which cost around $400 to $500 a piece from stockist.

the glossy black trims ones are for the high line range which is about 15% to 20% more than the normal matte black ones

For auto dim side mirrors you need to change the interior rear view mirror to one which is auto dim as well as the rear view mirror controls the dimming of the side mirrors. rear view mirror change to auto dim needs extra wiring and coding as well.

if you decide to just convert to power folding mirrors, you can do without the trim piece and use the remote to fold the mirrors after locking the car. the mirrors will auto unfold when you unlock the car.

beside getting brand new from stockists, an alternative is to buy from ebay UK. there are quite a number of folding side mirrors on sale now. I bought mine from ebay UK as well when i did my conversion to folding mirrors. make sure that the ones to be bought should come with 3 pins instead of 5 pins as the 5 pins ones uses a different control system. of cos if one wants to go the ebay route, it's best to do some research and determine what is exactly on the car first before buying someone online.
