I was waiting for someone to blame the FT or current population of 5M + 1M tourist/student pass/singer pass etc peeing at the same time causing a sudden rise in water discharge from the toilet.

so what if we are keyboard warrior? we are singaporean, we like to bitch about anything and everything.. u have any problem with that? these people are being paid handsomely to do this job, so if they are not doing it well, cant we bitched about it...

agree...in the same context, you pay workshop to repair your car but end up problems still keep occuring and they gave u excuses like "freak problem, once in 50 years"....or like alot of the PML cases, keep going back to the workshop for this problem, that problem until u fed up, u go Boss or BVO instead.

sue also no use.....Act of God.....they will claim
the courts can't set precedent for such a case or else PUB will be sued till pants drop with so many cars being flooded each time. they will tell u to claim from insurers instead

Soon no insurance co will insure against flood in Silipore and all of us will suffer as all these claims will translate into higher car insurance premiums..
Can I dont pay speeding fine and blame it on Act of God for having the glare from the sun temporarily blinding me???

Sorry I don't mean to talk cock and I don't mean they don't do anything. But have they done enough and react fast enough after the previous floods? Maybe they have but then the recent flood at Tanglin was quite bad. Why wait till the Tanglin flood to happen and then come out to say they need to re-look into re-designing drainage system?
I cannot join the election because i'm not a scholar and not as "white a a sheet of paper". I volunteer my services? I can't as I'm not an expert in this field. Other matters yes, I'm already a volunteer. During my meetings with grassroots members I critise policies and also give feedback on how to fine tune them. These feedback do not just come from myself but also collective feedback from residents.
When my customers critise my service I will not tell them to volunteer their service and brush them aside. i will take it positively and improve myself.
Hope you don't take my reply as though I'm trying to start a war. I'm a peaceful person. Have a great day ahead.
