maybe he removed the roll cage to make it lighter and go faster?

i thought that's what the factory stickers were for.... silly me.

Re: Porsche 997 GT3RS turtle

The roll cage is not a full roll cage ( only half at the back), no bars on A pillar and no cross bars on the roof either....

The GT3 RS American edition, by law, cannot have a roll cage if it is to be homologated for road use.

was about to ask this question, looks like the roof cannot support the body weight when turtle ! not easy for the big size driver to get out from such small opening.
actually by law the roof has to support the body when static, but if the pillars have been fractured or bent, then it will give way no matter what. It probably had a hard impact rollover.

hmm, that's really interesting trivia!

i wonder if they'll allow the gtr spec-v roll cage... or perhaps this law is the reason why the roll cage in the nissan has such a peculiar design.
