Actually, i'm looking at PML's latest december price list, the BMW 335iA Coupe's list price is set at $238,800. So can work out the numbers from there.
Yes, the cash rebates from the banks are not without conditions, for example, banks are now offering 5.25% cash rebate on the loan amount, but the interest rate is 3.5% and you have to pay back the cash rebate when you full settle on a pro-rata basis. Its abit like taking another overdraft loan.
There is even the GE Money package which rebates 30% of the total interest, the cash rebate comes up to double that of the other rebate packages, but that interest rate is 4.5%!
Either way, unless you need the cash rebate to help your full settlement for your current car (basically its rolling the loss from one car into higher loan and rates to another, thereby digging a deeper debt hole), imho its better to take a loan without cash rebates and enjoy lower interest rates. The same banks also offer plain-vanilla auto loans without cash rebates at 2.85% interest rate too.
