hello guys (and gals)

just wanna get you opinion about buying a 335i from a PI.
price seems good enough but i am just unsure about the technical support that will be available for this car.

question is whether there is enough expert help outside PML to service and look after the car.

what are your experiences and comments.

i am sorry if this is a re-thread. i can really find a thread that tells me all i want to know.

I have been driving my PI 335 for 4 months, no problem at all.

As far as technical support is concerned, go take a look at their respective workshops. For instance, my PI Vincar ties in with MBM, who does BMWs and Mercs and all sorts of cars. I cannot say they are as good as the likes of BVO and J4C when it comes to tuning, but for normal maintenance, they are more than adequate equipped with tools and knowledge.

Last heard 335i is going for $209K.

No problems so far with my 335i as well except for the brake light malfunction warning sign that came on ---> promptly resolved in 10 minutes at BVO :)

The brake light malfunction i go that too. i realised that the bulbs are nto seated properly in the holder and moves around a lot. most of the time that light comes out is on a hard bump if u do notice. After i saw the bulb fitted in and i verified it with my own hands and pushed it in further, it seems to be ok.4 months no problem with those lights now.

V2 not available as a single package as yet. U need to order V1 first then buy V2. Problem is V2 backlog is like 6 months man! Me and Andre are the only ones with it so far from what i know. Cybertron shud be getting his soon. V1 and V2 quite abit of diff but with V2, easier to put the power down. V1 is like a whiplash of torque and on uneven roads and rainy days, no use. V2 must rev to make power which is good so when u wanna play, u rev. Thats like a V8. And i love it.

question for your ProCede guys. what is the bhp and torque rating for V2? there is quite a lot of heresay about sub 5 sec. how's your machine running?

Stock machine is already sub 5.. at least thats for my car when driven by my friend (very very good driver)

Its runnign abt 4.5secs conservative on V2. Ppl in US, on their Gtech Meters are showing 4.38secs but i find that hard to believe unless they are 0-100 downhill.

J4C can get it in for you. I think they should have better lead times for V2.

4.9secs for manual with a good driver. Seen it in most reviews.

BMW underrates the power and times. On a stock car, its making mroe than 306hp in fact. abt 330hp actually. Even for me, my torque i dynoed was 435nm instead of 400nm. A tad more than stock. So timing is also off in this context.

Your auto box is gonna be faster Omar. This new auto box is a gem of a box. How can any normal human shift as fast or even faster than it??

the PI car does not come with SATNAV as PML does right? i think that is the only difference.

you are referring to the 6 speed STEPTRONIC Gearbox right?
