Hi oneheadlight,
What are the abrasions like?.. Is the undercoat paint still intact?
Based on some of the postings from www.autopia.org (Car Detailing forums), if only the top sealant/wax layer is gone and the paint unaffected, you may want to try some of the polishes with stronger polishing (abrasive) properties like Meguiar's #9, Scratch-X or #83 DACP (Dual Action Cleaner Polish). DACP is the strongest polish they have and is said to work quite well on scatches.
If however the scuff marks are over a much wider area, it may help to seek professional assessment from paint workshops like Yew Lip, SCW.
regards,
Alvin.
