what about paint protection film?
isn't PPF is a better option to protect from stone chips, key scratches, swirl marks & fine scratches from regular washes?
no need to wax the car anymore ... save money

With Paint Protection Film, what it does is having a layer of plastic over a carefully prep-ed surface, machiam 包书纸. However, the glossiness and colour depth is never as good as a freshly-waxed surface.

A Film is designed to be a sacrificial protection layer over the paintwork; so expect it to be covered with scratches and dings over time. Also, depending on the grade of the Paint Protection Film, some may turn yellow over time, and the actual reproduction of colour of the car will be affected as well.

For those who are not so particular with colour reproduction, Paint Protection Film is definitely an easier way to maintain paintwork. Just use a normal shampoo and go over.. although some anal owners will even wax over the film.

And for others... they like to go raw... paint with wax. Having an additional layer of film over the paint will curb the sensation... of brushing your hand over a nicely-detailed surface. :D

Haha I'm always very tactful of my posts... never know who might be reading.

But I'm stating the facts ma... Some very famous films are Xpel, LaminX, etc. Not cheap, but definitely a good way to prevent stone-ships when u are going at 200++km/h on NSHW.

IMHO, Paint Protection Film is a good idea for stone-chip protection, but not so much on maintaining the paintwork from swirl-marks or bird-poop or what-nots...
