Hello all,

With the recent elections over and discussions happening in our forum (and will still be on-going) - I'd like to notify you that I was duly notified on Friday of a defamatory posting in our forums - which, after admin review - we have decided to remove the thread for compliance.

This is the 'GE quotes' thread where a number of forum members were participating. We won't reveal who the poster(s) was.

The 1st of page of 9 pages is attached below.

Details have been censored out for privacy.

As previously mentioned - this isn't the first time that this has happened and won't be the last.

This is a reminder to all that you are responsible to what you post online. Details of member(s) who posts defamatory remarks, libel will be handed over to the legal system if there is a warrant for request out for your information.

Just so you know............ it's very difficult to hide, and a forum nickname won't help you either way.

1. Your I.P address (from our forum logs as well as your ISP), member information will be provided as procedure.

2. Screen captures would have been captured as proof.

3. The legal team representing the plaintiff will then get touch with you shortly.

Read our forum policies (http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/forum-...ons/3724-bmw-sg-forum-policy-please-read.html) and terms of service (BMW-SG - The BMW Singapore Community - FAQ: BMW.SG Disclaimer) under member conduct.

On another note - there are social media monitoring services out online which monitors keywords (including variant keywords - so don't try to be funny) and pulls them up in reports almost instantly. This includes Facebook, Forums, twitter etc. I know because I use them for my own company.

Again - Open, clean discussions and your opinions are always welcome. Just don't skirt over the line. The internet doesn't forget. :)
