Samples of the iso 1000 and 1600 shots seems slightly noisy...I thought the 16mp m4/3 had pretty good noise control as seen on the om-d.
Anyway, if you guys don't mind the bulk, just get any entry ff with some primes. Can't beat the dof control and flexibility.

I own the OM-D EM-5. It is a great little camera that is easy to shoot and give pretty decent quality. I never own an DSLR and probably never will. My 1st micro 4/3 camera is the Panasonic GF1, which I still use for casual shots. Compared to the GF1, the EM-5 is faster all round.

The fact is that lugging the DSLR around makes you not want to shoot anymore. This is the way the trend is moving and that is moving away from DSLRs. When I feel like it, I just snap on my 20mm f1.7 pancake lens and carry it around in a small sling bag. That makes a difference between fun and a chore (DSLR).

I understand your point of view better now. I have multiple systems including the M4/3 and hence is kinda spoiled for choice. Perhaps dats why i feel the om-d is kinda over rated.
The choice of weapon is purely preferential and dependant on conditions. I am looking for thrills only these days and my last cam... so called cam is the lytro.
We should get together for a shoot.

I have moved away from DSLR to get away from current trend of cheap APS-C system. Now, i have 2 camera, Fuji X100 & Olympus Tough.
After moving X100, i luv to shoot fixed lens.
If i gonna buy DSLR, it will be D800 with 50mm fixed lens.

I have the fujifilm x100 too. Love it.
However, my journey in photography taught me that subject engagement makes a photo more delightful than the megapixels you get to zoom or crop a person's face (ooops... or whatever). View attachment 54866
