Dear all, what is the reasonable price to pay for that? Did my at ws for $107 after GST and felt cheated as I know the cost of gasket is probably a few dollars only and is a simple job with minimum manhour...

Thanks

Re: Oil Leak At Temperature Sensor Area

Erm.... if the gasket is $10, and takes 30min to change. why didn't you DIY in the first place?
if you own a workshop, how much would you charged?

$10 for gasket
$20 for labor
$70 for diagnosing the fault

Re: Oil Leak At Temperature Sensor Area

Lucky did not change the flywheel seal ...... the seal only $2 but WS would charge more than $107.

Re: Oil Leak At Temperature Sensor Area

Problem is during the initial check, ws told me that mine was a small problem and minimum cost. However about 1 hr later, the ws called me and told me that the sensor cannot be taken out and if they use force, they might break the sensor.... So probably they use this 'Hung' method...

Anyway just for sharing.....

I'm confused, so your ws used some more complicated method to remove the sensor and so charged you this high price?
