Mystery solved. Thanks, Slater. I suspect this is to cater to the huge US market where most NA 3 series (except M3) have 3 litre engines.

Wondering which legal exhaust offers best performance boost in HP and throttle response without reducing low-end torque.

Could any experienced experts advise please?
i was shocked. din even know we had 330's here. but according to them the 1st batch of E90's does come in 330. they canned it since.

I did see an E90 330i in Singapore once; Titanium Silver.

Straightaway, I noticed there was something different about it. It had a "330i" badge and HUGE Style 162 18" rims which came stock with the 330, I presume.

It did cross my mind that he might been a poser as I had never seen a local 330 before, but evidently not.

It also had double tailpipes but no tips, indicating it was an early E90.

The suspension looked moderately lowered, so sports suspension might have come stock as well.

When it drove off, I noticed it's engine sounded different; the growl was deeper & stronger than usual.

Anyone else spotted a 330i before?
