Noise from Brembos when braking - normal?

Recently I tested my brembos. from about 160/170 kmh, I applied firm but gradual brake pedal pressure to slow the car down over a fairly short distance to under 50kmh. repeated that a few times consecutively.

As the car is slowed down quickly, there is sound coming from the Brembos (6pot/4pot). The sound is like a rotational kinda of sound, dunno how to descrive it. is it supposed to have sound lidat or suppose to be quiet like the stock brakes.

Mechanic says its normal, mine has a click click sound from the front, and a squeal from the rear.. 6/4 too.

Re: Noise from Brembos when braking - normal?

is it squealing sound or kinda humming sound?
Humming is common for x-drilled rotors
Squealing is not uncommon too...

Re: Noise from Brembos when braking - normal?

Mine is a very sexy humming noise (im on drilled rotors).

And im loving it.

it's the GRINDING sound. I've heard that on all performance brakes which are slotted/crossdrilled with semi-aggressive pads fitted. I don't know whether it's normal or not but I've never heard otherwise.

Who cares if its normal or not?
It sounds like the devil moaning...

DAMN STEAM.

With Brembos, how do they perform when cold? Heard that it takes a while to heat up and their performance improve when heated.

on my brakes, OE brembos, that is perfectly correct. Warm up time is just the first moderate strength braking, you really must brake hard. After that, no issues.
