for one thing that for the life of me i couldnt find is ... whats legal to mod and whats not? i've seen people talk about the gruppe m intake etc ... but will pml kill my warranty if they see it plonked under my hood? besides acs stuff ... im guessing minor stuff like regular air filters can be changed but the gruppe m one seems to really stick out ... any comments guys?
when u say legal... are u concerned with LTA regulations? or PML warranty?
AFAIK the majority of the mods talked abt on this forum are legal wr.t. LTA regulations... as for PML, erm, the answer i get most of the time when i ask is that it'll depend on whether they wanna be nice and close one eye, as technically, any work done by external workshops or tampering with your vehicle will void your warranty.
i'm sure there's some wiggle room though... like i don't think they'll void the warranty claim on a faulty air conditioner just because u use a car freshener.... that's technically a mod right? especially those that clip onto your vents..... :laughlik:

guys asking for advice ... can any acs exhausts from pml replicate the sounds that aftermarket exhausts such as remus give? im giving serious thought to changing my exhaust but of course, ill have to convince my old man to let me mod the car ... 
i really am itching to mod the car but dont really want to do anything until I can get my facts straight ... even the saleswoman who sold me the bmw has been very helpful ... even though its been more than a mth after the sale ... helping me check all the minor stuff with her mechanics ... its definitely better svc then at C&C where my old man's E200k was serviced 13 times in 5 months ... brand new merc with so many problems ... very disappointing quality from c&c ... and the sales people there, once they sell you the car, they wash their hands off you and tell you to phone the svc centre direct ... no more merc for me haha
