In my sig, I was using KW Springs with my stock suspension.

Looks nice, can see more in http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/album_...sort_method=pic_time&sort_order=DESC&start=28 but hardly can go anyway with even the slightest inclination!

So went back to stock for about 6mths before getting my KW Var1 3 days ago. The gaps in front and rear are only 1 finger!

Damn nice lah the drop, so where is your KW springs now? Wanna sell? Most importantly how's the ride? Comfortable or very harsh?

I know which KW1 u got! I wished I had more money to get those when racebred told me about it! hahaha....

Nice drop but u can see that my front tire is INSIDE the fender!!! I would advise against it because the stock shocks are not so capable in handling shorter/harder springs like the KW. I could feel the shocks working overtime when I was going fast and taking corners.

Now with Var1, the shocks and springs complement each other and the end result is a great drop, sturdier but comfortable ride!! I recommend coilovers!!

bro, we got no money for coilovers ler! :( looks like will need to save up for another few more months already lor! :(

how's the ride of the KW1? is it harsh?

I got a ride in Wilman's car with PSS9, they were SUPERB!!! Unbelievably beautiful. It will take me another year to save up that money to buy those coilovers man... I initially wanted PSS, but then after sitting wilman's car, now i'm craving for those PSS9s :inlove:

Having sat and driven cars with both KW-1 and PSS, I would say they are very comparable in terms of both handling and ride. If you like PSS9's feel on Wilman's car but can't afford it, PSS is well worth considering.

I am on PSS, BTW.

bro, should have said earlier mah, so how's the ride? as comfortable as the PSS9s? That's what i'm really concerned abt and how low did u adjust yours to?

This question is impossible to answer because PSS cannot adjust damping but PSS9 can, so you should really be asking: so what setting (1-9) of PSS9 is PSS roughly equivalent to?

Sadly, I haven't sat/driven enough of PSS9-equipped cars to comment. Only one I've experienced is Wilman's car, and that was for all of 5 minutes! But based on that 5 minutes, I'd say, "it's not far off". I know what settings he's using, but don't know whether those are his "trade secrets" or not, so you better ask him yourself, hehe..

Best way to judge is to come sit in my car lah. You have my email & HP number.. next time you're in town, give me a ring lor.

BTW my drop is so-so only lah, cos I fetch family, condo carpark has some pretty bad humps, and my car not going for show mah, hahaha.. If you must know, it's 1.5 fingers front, 1 finger rear.

bro, wilman told me his settings too! if it's not far off, then I think it should be good as well. sigh.... i'm so addicted to the ride now i'm looking under my desk to see if there's a S$1000 note stuck there or not!

thanks a lot bro, will be considering to get those coilovers soon, if I do happen to be in town, will hope to be meeting up with you! :D

Shedden

Shedden,

I was in the same predicament as u about which coilovers to get, KW Var2 or PSS9 but the price of these coilovers are a tad expensive! :verysad:

IMO, i don't track... i drive only spiritedly once in a while. KW Var1 has just the right combination of height adjustments and comfortable damping hence I got them!

Anyway, Shedden, when u next come down to Singapore pls drop me a mail or call me at 91866565 cuz I want to see the CCFL before I confirm the purchase!

Cheerio! 8)

Wah lau eh.....OT OT OT

How come CCFL thread can become coilovers har?? Please go over to the PSS9 or lowering your ride thread to talk about suspension!!!!

:shoot: :shoot: :shoot:

Same here. You can bring few sets down just in case the herd instinct initiates a buy frenzy.

Bro, you have my number, don't you?

hi Guys,

Sorry about the OT ah! I'll definitely bring a few sets down the next time, hopefully in less than a month (because i still need to buy new wheels), then will contact you guys before hand and probably call for a small gathering? ;)

I think probably don't need to wait so long as quite a few forummers have already got them from me, so if you guys see some nice & bright CCFL on the road, they are most probably from the forum! :D

Regards,
Shedden
