Pirelli Dragon (Ultra High Performance)
Tyre description
The conversion of rims and tyres is a phenomenon that is increasingly gathering pace, urged along by the specialist tuners and their experimentation with future possibilities. The tuners increase engine power, work on the transmission and modify body design as they explore the limits of cars for normal road use. The wheel group is also in need of research into the best working equilibrium between tyres, rims, suspension and the braking system. And they translate into prospective opportunities for the motorists, but also for the car manufacturers, who have gradually marketed more powerful and higher performing models – which are also more voluminous and heavier.
The Pirelli DRAGON™ enables the specialized tuners and motorists to make the kind of conversions that were considered impossible until today. Over the last 10 years the “+1” phenomenon – a one inch bigger diameter rim that the basic fitment – has changed into today’s changeover which is more about “+2”conversions. The Pirelli DRAGON™ provides motorists and tuners with the opportunity of transforming popular cars that can produce far better sports handling from a wheel group ranging from 17-19 inches, while at the same time providing driving comfort that matches their class. Pirelli DRAGON™ provides new possibilities for more widespread changeovers, offering the motorist a favorable cost-performance ratio, compared to the overall value of the car.
Tread Pattern
Asymmetric design for enhanced grip on curve and high cornering force in all weather conditions.
The zigzag groove in the centre of the pattern guarantees uniform and constant grip on asphalt, even at high speed.
Enhanced drive stability and precise steering response on highways.
Dedicated to Asia Pacific and Middle East markets.
Destined to fit a wide range of car categories.
Driving precision and road-holding even under severe conditions.
Maximum stability even at high speed.
Low noise emission during all the tyre life and regular wear.

Not too bad tyres...but wet weather could be better. Anyway...happen with the tyre. Good precision handling...you turn left it will go left lor (and you were expecting ?? )...you know what I mean rite.
I dunno why call Ultra High Performance...my personal feel is....
Basically a comfort based tyre with performance thrown in...not the other way around. You were on Vimode rite ? I think you will find these Dragon one or two notch above the Vimode.
However....if you want grip and grip....AD07 is a good alternative....I would rate the AD07 above Dragon. (If James Bond uses it...can't be bad right !! ha ha ha ha ha)
Racebred said:yeah it's called dragon coz it's designed for the asian market. so, how much is the 19" ah?
Ghostrider said:I can retread the Vimode for you if you are keen....ha ha ha ha....
Take my car for a spin next time I see you lor...then you will know liao.
Vimode life span is about a year only. About 40K on my 15' (previous ride). Wanted to get SO3 but the combine factors of high price and high wear rate...I scare !! If not...will not bitch about the SO3 man....I miss those rubbers !!
The Dragon wear rate looks like not very happening also leh....10K can see noticable wear liao.
