Download Garmin express. Hook up to your computer and click update. The latest should be v5.40 now. If yours is already there then don't bother

Firstly on your computer, then google for Garmin express and install on yr PC.

Once done plug your Garmin to your PC and excute Garmin express. Follow the instructions on your PC screen and it will find your Garmin.

Lastly click search for update will do. Pretty simply procedure.

Hi Eric,

Garmin means your navigation system. They oem for BMW. The actual model is Garmin 710 if I remember correctly

But, how to interface with the Garmin the navigation system? Is there communication port some where?

Hi Ben,

Sorry, maybe I didn't mention that the Navigation for E90 made in 2010 are flush in to the dashboard unlike other are external which can be dismounted as and when. Maybe . i'm to layman...to understand your description.
