Hi bros,

Just a thought, is Malaysia Auto Bavaria an option for doing recalls?

Since recalls are generally few and far between and if Auto Bavaria does cover "international" bimmers for recalls, then going in Malaysia will be an viable option for PI units...

regards...
:)

Recalls are mandatory under LTA regulations I heard... so it might not be up to them.

It's quite a complicated business if u ask me. PI cars aren't even local spec to begin with unless the recall applies to all Euro cars. I would be surprised if LTA can force authorized dealers to perform recall on cars not imported by them. I have never heard of that being done.

i also concur on this.. i've never heard of recalls by HQs that also call in the PI cars... PI cars is always case of buy at ur own risk with the extra discounts..

Re: Munich Adoption

what local specs? Are our component parts any different from the Euro version? Anyone check on Real OEM before? I've bought HFPF using the numbers there and it works just find.
I believe its a myth perpetuated by some folks. If you're telling me its the ECU settings that's been localised then maybe.

I believe if its a recall you definitely can approach BMW directly for some sort of recourse. Or so I've been told.

erm.. climatised to tropical weather..

Example for audi. PI S4s has missing ancillary coolers which are found on the PA S4s. That's a fact.

Re: Munich Adoption

Cool. how about M3s? I remember the CRM at Munich saying they outfit our aircon to be cooler... but my PI aircon quite cool leh. Better than my PML 335 infact!

Re: Munich Adoption

the climate control in european specs is different from the ones in Singapore. i believe cars imported by dealers in Singapore has special request for climate control that functions accordingly to the local weather.

I'm not sure on that.. I'm a relatively newbie M3 owner.. hahaha.. no friends to compare with either..

Re: Munich Adoption

I know for sure my UK PI M3 is not the same as local M3 at least in some aspects of the wiring or even ECU code. I explored with MA on swapping my speedo with Miles/h into the local km/h. They were helpful and tried doing it, but the local km/h speedo wiring won't fit the wiring on my car. KNN

Specification of cars brought in by AD could make a difference when it comes to a recall. Take for example, the damn stop-start on my M3. I was told MA M3s don't come with this. If my PI stop/start gets a recall, then how?
