Motor Insurance

The premium seems to be going up very quickly every year.

The premium for my AXA motor insurance arranged by Sime Darby was increased by 13% last year. This year it is a 15% increase over last year.

As recommended by some folks in VAGSG forum, I tried getting an online quote from AVIVA and it is indeed much cheaper. For a higher excess ($2,000 excess for AVIVA vs $400 excess for AXA) and no NCD protection, the savings is about 26%.

Do you guys think it is worthwhile switching to AVIVA?

Why don't u get a broker to get u a quote?

Price is important. The fine print is also very important. Maybe Jackie can give u gay to gay price.

Re: Motor Insurance

If you have a stock car and dont intend to change a ride, Aviva is a good alternative.

Re: Motor Insurance

Ktnpl, i concur with davidtch. Look for a broker. But I recommend iscoupe, just PM him.

wow i high , so many gaylord call my name!

AVIVA no fight la, cheap cheap... just need do everything urself, careful the fine prints & make sure u disclosure everything esp. u got drink driving (most insurer declined), accident history (dun play play) etc. When u Single don't put Married to save a few hundreds. After 3 mths, nothing happen then ok. if not, will ask for more payment.

as a broker, we can help to customise the plan you want so might be cheaper than AVIVA too. e.g. only driver above age40 or only driver scheme.

I've tried an online quotes recently with ref to our sunday times. Their price quoted is indid the most competitive and you still get to nominate a charity organisation and they'll donate 5% of your premuim paid.

PS: I've no association with the above mentioned. Jus that doing some charity work in the process is priceless IMHO.

Re: Motor Insurance

Re: Motor Insurance

Guys, just wanted to share that I took my 2005 320i for AXA and am impressed with the service and patience of the staff there during the purchasing of the insurance scheme. Nicely done. Will be using them for the next few years I believe.

Re: Motor Insurance

Also a BMW 320i, Thanks for the business.

Re: Motor Insurance

In aviva, select "NO NEED RECEIVE HARD COPY" meaning they will email u your insurance contract: can save pocket by $20
