Mercury Silver Number Plates

hi guys,

i tried searching but couldn't find any info on whether these are legal; can someone please enlighten me?

I'm referring to those embossed plates with shiny numbers/letters like the ones here (top row, middle pic)

i've seen some cars with these kinds of plates with the Performance Motor Limited frame round it... does this mean that PML can provide me with these plates if i request?

Those cars just use back the same frame. Those are not legal. They go by per digit/alphabat like $30. You can try PML's supplier of number plates. The company is Euro Plate located at River Valley road. Look for Irene or Max. 62356728

My plates were done in the shop you quoted. They say their plates meet the LTA requirements in that the letters and alphabets are not chromes but rather spray painted shades of silver. And the size and spacing between the characters are as stipulated by the LTA.

Various casings and backboards are available. You can choose to reuse the PML supplied case if you desire.

ah, just when i had given up hope on the plates... so how much did u pay and any trouble with the authorities thus far?

so does this mean LTA doesn't allow chrome but allows the mercury silver colour?
