Thanks wt_know. This ghibil video are informative. If really selling @ 450k in sg like what ngalan says, not too sure if it's attractive. There's M5 to compare with. Between the 2, I like M5 better.:thinking:

M5 should be about $100k above the maser, and i feel that M5 is a class above.
More likely 550 vs Ghibli

I dropped by the Maserati showroom in early Oct 2013, showroom car was a left hand drive. For the base Ghibli, it is 340K w/o coe, for the Ghibli S, it is 390K w/o coe. close to 500k including some options and coe. Performance wise, F10 M5 is the one to go for, but somehow the badge whore in me leans towards the Ghibli.

I was also told, the Ghibli is in the category of the Audi A7, BMW Gran Coupe, Merc CLS and the Porsche Panamera.

Prices might have changed since then, car is pretty big but interior wise not as big but still comfy enough. Overall nice car IMO.

To add on, while I was there, overheard 2 guys discussing about the car and one of them rather loudly proclaimed, oh if you go for the ghibli, it simply shows you cannot afford a quattroporte....well I did not know what to make of that comment but I guess everyone is entitled to their opinions.

you can "spice up" your exhaust note simply by 1 push of a button ...

bmw should develop something like that ... a "flap" at the exhaust for normal vs sport (sound fierce only) :sneaky:
