M3 CS Steering Rack

Can anyone help me on this one ??

The new M3 CS have a quicker steering rack vs the 2002 M3 - according to CAR magazine.

Can the CS steering rack be fitted into a 2002 M3 ??

I was told by the BMWAG guy (my instructor) when I was in 'ring last month, he say can!
But question is, will/can PML do it, how much it will cost?

It can be done, even if u want u can use CSL one which is the same if not better....
If PML can't do it, go outside to do it...
Not sure bout the price but perhaps MRacer can share some lights on this....

is there any diff in the cs and csl steering rack? the csl rack was one of my pending mods before my bug was cured.

woah! too expensive, some say maintainance cost of a Ferrari and mistress about the same, initial outlay for the latter is less, but the resale value is almost non-existent

Technically, a faster steering rack means a different set of steering gear ratio on the so it's definitely possible.

It's like those day when the 2001 steering rack is quicker than the 2000 steering rack. All required is to change the rack and pinon steering column.

Should be in the range of 3 to 5k

It is possible to change the steering rack for M3 to M3 CS or even CSL one. In fact the ratio for the CS and CSL is almost the same... as for the cost.. you can get it done for about SGD 3000/- not including labour... please PM me or email me at [email protected] if anyone is interested.
