The following is the picture of cars fitted with LSD doors
The LSD system includes special door hinges, which open the door first outwards and then upwards in a secured and controlled ways.
A gas springs supports the opening, so that there is no need of great forces.
The door opens in 2 steps:
1.Open the door as usual outwards up to a maximum angle, which is given from LSD (approximately 30 degrees). There is enough space to get in and out off the car.
2.Lifting of the door: It is only possible to lift the door from this certain point and with the support of the gas spring the door lifts easily up to the opening point (approximately 40 degrees).
