The car seems to also inch forward a wee bit. Then after engage to "D", stop at traffic light with foor brakes and when light turns green, release foot brake and step on accelerator the car machiam kenna stuck and then reluctantly launch forward. This kena stuck syndrome will go off after driving for awhile but it didnt happen before in the past.

Car coming 2.5yrs old E60 and just crossed 50000km mark. I just did svc at pml with change of auto transmission fluid months ago. Is the auto-trans going Kaput?

Will fix appt with pml asap but wondering whether it's probably nothing to worry about?

Don't think is normal, probably need a program refresh of the transmission unless its something else more serious. PML definitely can do it for free on the refresh as long as still under warranty. Done my refresh 2 months ago by PML because of the gear shift not smooth. For your headsup, they will need the whole day to do the refresh.

About the loud thud when morning start engine, I had the same sound couple of months back, hear it every morning. Went back to PML and they did some software upgrade and the sound was gone for good.

Didn't experience the kena stucked syndrome like you though.

Tks guys. Glad that it's not a major issue and solvable by pml with software refresh.

Cheers!
