My ride is a E46 (2002 model 318i).
I had a previous post about a loud sound when starting the engine, despite replacing the ignition coils, cam sensors, crank sensors, cam gas pressure value etc there has been no improvement.
The sound seems to be coming from near the engine flywheel, a loud clattering sound when starting the engine (ONLY) with a half engine crank, after that it disappears, However it remains at times for couple of seconds. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?
