Looking for 19" BMW rims.

I saw this at Autobacs and need to know if they are original. I know Autobacs carry replicas and they price they gave quite cheap but they insist that it's original BMW staggered setup.

Any idea where I can find this and what the expected cost is?

Hi Debadge,

So far not many tyres shop will want to carry OEM BMW wheels if have also is those rims being traded in by other owners.....by the way what's their asking rate? 19ins?

cheers

Re: Looking for 19" BMW rims.

$1600k form rims without tires. And that's for trade in price. Still cheap though. Funny but I thought it would be slightly more expensive.

Spurs! Haha. Well, used car la.

Are you refereing to this rim? I saw too, selling S$1600, IMO, don't think its genuine OEM. ;)

Re: Looking for 19" BMW rims.

For that price, probably not original.

It is very nice....but cleaning will be very painful as there are many small small gaps.

Re: Looking for 19" BMW rims.

Yeah, I verified with them again today and it's not original. I think cleaning will be crazy too.

They don't seem to have a lot of tires that can go with this. At least, not at autobacs. Told me the only ones they can get is Eagle F1.... errmmmm... not good leh.

Hi Debadged,

why not drop by Hurry, Leong Seng or Ray S to widen your choices.........

Happy searching
cheers

Re: Looking for 19" BMW rims.

Thanks for the suggestion. I went hurry. The only ones that interested me there were the Breyton. I prefer a more OEM look so looking at the BMW rims. And original BMW rims aren't terribly well made nor forged nor lightened. So I don't mind replica BMW rims too. And hurry doesn't really have those.

Would Leong Seng and Rays have replica BMWs?

Re: Looking for 19" BMW rims.

hurry has replicas leh - ask kristen to show you the catalogue.

1.6k for that set in autobacs is expensive for a set of reps.

Re: Looking for 19" BMW rims.

Hey guys, thanks for the quick responses and suggestions. Maybe I will go down to Hurry again and ask. How much should I be paying for them?

As for the tires, I am looking for something like PS3 or CSC3 for their grip. I know there are too many choices to make from but I really need something which isn't terribly noisy... What tires can I get for about $500 a piece?

Hi Debadged,

Re: Looking for 19" BMW rims.

Yes. Replicas are good enough on Singapore roads and there are lots of quality replicas nowadays too. Some replicas even lighter than oem. Can say I am cheapskate and is a supporter for replicas cos with the oem price, I can change 3-4 times for replicas. That says everything why I change rims once a year or even earlier. :)

I got bad experience with Yoko so never tried again after that. I spun out at traffic light.

$280 for which? CSC3 or PS3? Do keep the suggestions coming. I like low rolling resistance for low noise. But still need fair grip. Either that or CSC3 and PS3 for outright grip. I don't like middle ground.

I like your approach! Keeps the car fresh longer and makes you drive it longer with sustained interest. Can you tell me where you get your replicas?
