Lambo style gullwing doors?...

hi guys,

the november issue Performance BMW featured a white E46 M3 replica with lambo style doors and that really makes me : ....
wonder if anyone here had these doors on their car b4? worthit?

Don't know about E46 or any BM in SG with these doors.....but saw a Hyundai Tuscany and MX5 with these "scissor" doors......

Swee! But don't know will "ZHIP ZHUI" or not? kekeke!

In the states, they have specialized tuners who do such customsied work for BMs....

Don't do it. Do a search on e46fanatics. It's pretty darn difficult to get the damn gullwings aligned with the car and there are issues with installation workmanship.

Agree with Jaskin. The "Wow" factor wears off after awhile. You also need a higher clearance.

The main problem that these guys face is the alignment issue after a while. The doors pop out a couple of mm before u swing the door upwards. The constant actions will cause the door to be misaligned and is a constant worry.

not LTA friendly as well

there's also someone on mycarforum.com installing these for around 1500SGD but it all looks rather dodgy IMHO.

besides, the bulk of the cars that he has worked on are protons, tuscanis, civics, celicas... the fine company i'll be in made me think thrice abt LSDoors.
