Koni yellows for E30?

I've decided i'll probably go for KONI yellows on my E30.
Can't get much response from Eng Soon on the Bilstein... They only have stock on the front shocks but not on the rear and everytime i ask them if it's possible to indent in the rear shocks, they point me to another product... and never want to answer me my question... (they keep pushing me to buy their BOGE)

So i'll probably source out some KONI Yellows from Selegie Spareparts... they told me have to wait till next shipment next month... I'll probably run the KONI yellow shocks on stock springs first b4 deciding whether to put in performance springs... cos the car on normal springs is already quite low.

Anyone else out there has Koni yellows on the cars?

Re: Koni yellows for E30?

I think the sport Konis are red and they are adjustable. Yellows are standard. Got a quote earlier in the yr for abt S$770 (GST incl) a set for the reds. Better go with sport springs as the ori springs are too soft and will not match the shocks if you are going for the reds. In terms of springs, can't go wrong with Eibach pro-kits which should go for abt S$300-350.

For Sin roads, it should be ok to go with sports setup as potholes are hard to come-by. Also gives your car the 'garang' look.

Re: Koni yellows for E30?

hmm... i might opt for the Yellow ones cos i guess i not too hardcore, just want a slightly better handling feel. My father will be using the car also, so nothing too stiff.

Where to get Eibach in SG? Still no proper answer from Eng Soon on the Bilsteins... they still want me to get their BOGE..so probably forget it...

Re: Koni yellows for E30?

I enquired on the pricing of the Bilsten B12 from eng soon recently. They got back to me about a month later. Anyway, was quoted about $950 if i remembered correctly. Found out the front can't fit a stock 316 front strut housing also. Need a 325 housing for the front to fit it in.

Re: Koni yellows for E30?

The Yellow Konis are the sports version with more damping. Red Konis are the ones with standard damping. Had yellow Konis and Bilsteins before....I take the Bilsteins anytime!

Hmm..this is for E30 also?
So does that mean i need to find some way to put in a 325 housing for the front?

i asked them they say can fit.... the front they have stock for Bilstein yellow, rear for Bilstein Black....
either way, i'll probably opt for the Koni instead...cos dun think they wanna get the rear shocks for me... keep making me buy BOGE....

Re: Koni yellows for E30?

The bilsten B4 (normal) should be able to fit the 316, 318 & 320. The B12 (harder and w lowered springs) one will need the 325 front housing. The best place to find the 325 housing would be in msia, unless you are able to find one off a 325 to be scrapped in s'pore, which would be very rare.

ok. need some help here. EngSoon have finally gave me more details if i wanto ship in the shocks.
but i need some help on what shocks these are?

They are Bilsteins. Will they fit direct onto my E30 316i?
your requirements will be

rear > B36-2028 - S$130.00 x 2 (n/stk)
by sea 2-3 months[/quote[
