Does anyone know the coding possibilities of the bmw remote key?

I was wondering if the lights can be programmed to blink when one locks the car.

Yes it is possible! I did it on my ex-E46.
All you need is a place which has a modic machine, PML has it..so does the usual workshops, J4Cs, BVO, Riverview...etc etc.
