Hi Everyone,

Hello again...

I am not a BMW owner yet and is currently driving a Pt A to Pt B Japanese car I am planning to buy a Year 2007 523i but is clueless what to look out for and will appreciate some advice from members here.

I have some queries...

1. What is the difference between 523i and 523i XL?

2. I understand that currently there are extend warranty option to purchase by 3rd party workshop. Any recommendations? How is the damage like? Worth getting?

3. For a 4 year old car depending on the mileage may require major servicing i.e. changing timing belts, other belts, water pump etc, what is the average major servicing cost? What is the recommended mileage to do this major servicing?

4. Is there any other things to look out for when buying one?

My apologies for the many questions but I am really keen to make an educated purchase. If there is any question already posted by members before, appreciate if you can point me to the link.
