jerky 2nd gear on my e90 323i

hi all my 2006 e90 323i delivers a noticeable jerk forward while changing gears from 1 - 2

no slight jerk while slowing down though..

is my gearbox transmission about to fail ?

help!

Highly likely the gearbox never flushed before. These lifetime stuff by BMW are all nonsense. Lifetime mostly means Lifetime of your warranty

visited boss motor...was consulted by john and was told to change the oil pan + ATF fluid + re -programming...

Did it solve ur prob? I have similar issues from m1 to m2 to m3. M3 onwards is ok. Damn sian...

Hi,

I used to have the same problem of jerks when the car move off while it's trying to shift up. I changed my ATF oil and pan last monday. All ok now and its so smooth that you sometimes don't notice the shift if you did not take note of it.

I bought all the stuff from Eng Soon and did the change at Riverview. Half day work.

hi Bro,

This started after i actually had a case of overheating transmission last Sat at the Tuas Checkpoint heading into Malaysia, which was a one-off case. Drove in to R2D and changed my ATF, (Millers) as could not determine what actually caused the warning to come on...thencontinued mt trip up to KL, and this jerk started during my drive up. Will drive in to the workshop for a check when i get back to S'pore.
