Sorry, I got totally confuse now. Are we talking about the IU unit itself or the plastic cover which cost between $5-10? How can anyone demand to change the IU unit itself unless it's proven faulty?

thread starter is upset that his se never give him free IU plastic COVER.

I thought maybe they were so angry cos the new car was installed with the outdated iu. If your car was purchased from june 30 and dealer installed outdated one, think request for change is valid. BUT that's not the issue in this thread lah.

Hey guys...you know what's the SE replies? SMS and says the IU plastic cover not from PML & it's from the supplier which normally customise with salesman name and contact. is this? Said must order from the supplier...Can't they just farking order them and put it together with the damn IU unit!!! :angry: WHAT KIND OF FARKING SERVICE IS THIS!!! :furious:

Your se isn't lying. The covers are an added service at their own cost. Not pml's. Just like some se give you discount and some don't. You're not convinced of what she said? I myself would rather not have their name and number emblazoned across my Iu.

i thought this is a standard 'free gift'. perhaps, i'm lucky. no complaint.

the ones i received have the same bmw wording, but it came free with the 3m mats i asked my se to order for me. She had the delivery boys set up the mats in my car prior to my collection and they put the cover on my iu. I also thought it was from my se or pml, till i saw the exact same cover bundled with my second set of mats. Not all cars get it. My friend's new z4 doesn't have it either. Since our SE doesn't have any on hand, my friend decided to buy one from the gas station.

Oh i think you misunderstood. My friend DIDN'T GET any free cover. My SE doesn't have it. So my FRIEND intended to just BUY one cover on her own. SO Please don't go to PML and bang table and misquote my story ok!!! I repeat, WE DIDN'T GET ANY FREE COVER FROM OUR SE! but we don't care lah, it's such a cheap item, i bet even a half pint of beer at Harry's costs more than that.

Anyway, even though i think the IU cover screams "Please break my windscreen there is a cashcard hiding behind me" , since she is my friend I'm giving her my extra one. But the extra one is I PAY one hor, nobody gave it to me. Cos i paid for my 3M mats and it was bundled.

Did your SE say she would not give one to you? or was she just explaining that it would take some time to get you one?

As motorknut says, it's a personal cost to the SE so maybe she doesn't sell enough cars to warrant ordering in bulk. Or she ran out and waiting for the next batch? Perhaps a little more understanding and a little less name calling would be appropriate, especially since it's a freebie?

Anyway...I dun care if PML or SE provides the damn plastic IU cover or not...I have no qualms about that...the problem is about is the after sales service especially the SE who dealt with me... SUCKS!!!

What does a cover cost compared to > $100K car? Such a small trival thing and they cannot even manage? What is this? Worse than second hand car dealers which I have never had any no problems with...

Sad....real sad...this SE is condemn...BIG TIME...:hmmidont:
