Is this a scheduled service icon for brake fluid?

Hi Bros and Sis,

I've encountered yet another icon again in a span of 1 month... Sigh... Would like some advice to determine whether this icon is a scheduled service for brake fluid or a problem with my brake fluid.. I will see a "Service" icon everytime I start my engine but it goes off in 2 secs, see first pic. Then when I check the service control menu, I saw the brake fluid icon in yellow, see pic 2.

My last general service was less than 3 months ago and only been travelling less than 4000km since that last service. Total milege for my car is about 120000km.

All advice will be appreciated. Thank you.View attachment 56739View attachment 56740

When was the last time you did a brake fluid change ?

Else open the brake fluid top and have a look at the fluid color.

Normal servicing normally does not include brake fluid change.

ya the brake fluid container is next to ur wheels. on the outside of the wheel hub. remove the 5 screws....let go all the air in the 4 wheels within 5 mins. n u will have your answer.

The service light when starting car is normal. Mine also shows the service mileage for a few seconds, with the same array of icons lighted up as yours.

You mentioned that you travelled around 4000km after service, and the service mileage shows 2400km to service.
For my car, I have noticed that I have to x2 the service mileage. I did my service, the WS reset to 5000km to next service, I thought what the hell, I'm not going to spend money and change EO at 5000km, i'll do it at 10,000km. So i made a mental note of my mileage and what it will be 10k km later.

Surprisingly, the service mileage display needs to x2. I went around 1k km after service, and my service mileage shows 4500km. Accordingly, I should have gone 10k km before the service mileage hits 0. If your car is the same as mine, then your 2400km left should translate in 4800km in actual mileage before service. Plus your already 4k km, should add up to around 10k km.

For your second pic, I don't really get what you mean. Using the BC button and toggle stick to check, all the components have next serving schedule, i.e brake, microfilter, ignition etc. They are all in yellow icons with a service date 11/2013, 12/2013 etc. Does your yellow brake icon pop up without you going in to check using BC button and toggle switch?
