is it safe?

greetings guys,

i've noticed that quite a number of you have had the inner housings of your headlamps painted black to achieve that "blacked-out nose" look.

i want to enquire if any of you have run into problems with this modification before. in order for the housings to be painted, i'm sure the headlamp has to be taken apart. have the seals been replaced properly, ensuring a water-tight headlamp, as original? i'm most afraid of water seeping into the headlamp, causing a short-circuit and screwing up the electronics in the car.

what are your comments?

cheers,
saify.
