Re: IPhone 5 ready for online sales

I'll usually wait for a few mths. But not sure if want to stick to Singtel leh. If recontract will I get a reduction in data bundle?

Re: IPhone 5 ready for online sales

I think all new recontracts are at 2GB.

I am now using M1 with three supplementary SIM cards for home iPADs. Wonder if 2GB is enough?

M1 recontract customers get 1Gb extra. Becos of the LTE(4G), it load so fast and practically you could stream movies to your iP5... FYI, 1 movie streaming is at least 3Gb... In US many ppl wasn't aware and paid extra for the data...

Re: IPhone 5 ready for online sales

I went with my wife to buy hers from ST at MBS on Friday. I rejected 2 sets before accepting the 3rd one. First set had a scratch on the side. Second set had a chip on the bevel edge. Lucky third set was ok as the ST staff "threatened" to void the transaction if still got problem. Seems that Foxconn QC is non existent

Ya. Recontract will set you down to 2Gb(4G LTE) data instead of 12Gb(3G)

But LTE 4G is availalbe within CBD.

Besides, if 1 movie streaming is 3GB, then no need to consider downloading liao.

M1 is islandwide already bro... Singtel LTE basestations scattering here and there...

Have to monitor the data download... try to use wifi whenever is available...

This is a very detailed comparison on iP5 and telcos subscription plans...

Re: IPhone 5 ready for online sales

I bought a 4S via apple.com today - because I didn't wanna recontract - I have unlimited data for as long as I keep the old contract going...

The 5S at the moment is a bit CMI...

Hi, I know this may sound quite unusual but I faced the same problem. I too was at the iPhone 5 launch at MBS on Friday and the first set they opened had a scratch on the left side. he second set they opened had a chip on the upper bevel edge as well. And before opening the third set they told me that if this set has a problem, I have to go to the apple service centre directly. So then the third set was opened and luckily cosmetically everything seemed perfect. Then as soon as I walked out and got a call, I realised the vibration function wasnt working. Ive tried everything and it DOES NOT work. Unbelievable coming from apple. And tomorrow I will have to go to the service centre to have it checked out and most likely repaired. Do you think they will likely change it to a new set since its brand new?

Re: IPhone 5 ready for online sales

I don't think they repair anything.. They have always changed another set for me if it's within warranty period.

If its within 7days from purchase, MAYBE out of goodwill Singtel might exchange with a new set... mostly refurbished sets...

Re: IPhone 5 ready for online sales

So would you guys suggest I head to an apple service centre (most likely will head to the one at Funan) or head to a Singtel outlet directly?

Apple Service Centre confirm wouldn't exchange with a New set... For singtel, there is a chance as you had purchased from them... Up to you lah... Apple policy is exchanged with refurbished set... not repair...

Re: IPhone 5 ready for online sales
