Intalling Gauges in E46

Re: Intalling Gauges in E46

something its because for continental cars, the place where you mount the sensors is very important. If not you will end up drilling holes in unnecessary places and if the sensors are mounted in the wrong place, you will end up repeatedly blow the sensors.. which are not cheap to replace.

i think autobacs will install it for you if you buy the gauges from them. they're not very popular with this forum although i'm not sure why... $10 for an oil change is pretty hard to beat imho.

Thanks, bro. Installing the gauge meter is not a problem, most workshops will just use bracket and a stand to mount it on the dashboard. Straight forward & simple. But if I wanted specifically to mount them on the storage compartment, the answer is.............................go to accessories shop. Call the accessories shops, the answer is .................................... sorry, we don't do. :huhhuh:

ah, misunderstood your post. try buying a prefabricated piece then?

LeatherZ: E46 Gauge Panel

or you can buy the panel and the gauges as a package:

LeatherZ: E46 Complete LeatherZ Gauge Kit

Wow :yikess: , why nobody is telling me earlier that there is this "Gauge Panel" available, somemore for E46? Sigh !!!! I'm so mount tortoise (sua ku). Any idea this item is carried by any accessories shop in Singapore? Or the only way is to order online? Thank you, Louis.

Re: Intalling Gauges in E46

any of the local workshops will order it for you, but they'll charge a little extra. just order online yourself la.

Re: Intalling Gauges in E46

Hi All

Sorry to dig up an old thread. But I am just wondering if any of the bros here can recommend installing Defi (oil, water temp and oil pressure) gauges, besides the mentioned BVO where else can one go to. The set of gauges are on a honda currently, so it needs to taken out and transfer it to the E46.

Appreciate any tips here.

cheers.

Re: Intalling Gauges in E46

I did my Defi gauges installation in ST Power, bro. ST Power is the agent for Defi gauges.

Cheers.

Re: Intalling Gauges in E46

Thanks. I too got my Defis from ST Power and had it installed on the honda. But question I have is, are they competent in wiring it up and have the correct sensor adaptors for the E46.

Thanks again.

Re: Intalling Gauges in E46

I only had my water temp gauge + controller unit installed by ST Power. For as far as the gauge was in my E46, it worked fine and no issue at all.
