in sg, if someone break into my property and my dog killed and ate him, do i need to go jail ?

if i already put up sign board saying got big and hungry dog and still people break in, am i liable ?

i rem i studied a case when i was in Uni, a burglar burgled a home, then used the toilet in the garden. when he pulled the flush trigger, a concrete block that was placed on the cistern dropped on his head and injured him. the owner of the burgled home was found negligent because he didnt put in warning and it was reasonable to assume that a toilet had perfectly functional flush cistern without danger.


so i guess from this... if u have a warning sign of Dangerous Dog. You might be absolved.

if i remember correctly, there is also right of private defence against burglary in the dark. it's reasonable to assume he is armed and dangerous and hence u are able to effect the assumed force/harm he can cause you in self defence.

Normal police dog can be adopted but not to public. Narcotics and prison dogs will be put to sleep

a police or army trained dog can never adjust back to civilian life just like rambo cant.
they are time bombs waiting to explode.
a untrained dog is more than enough in sg homes.
if you treat your dog well if will naturally defend you when you in danger.
