i dont really suggest a swopping of engine, think abt the yearly inspection and all the hassle of getting inspect.. 4 cyc and 6 cyc engine is totally different therefore it will be easy for even untrained eyes to see.. the fine is very hefty. imagine, original engine capacity minus mod. engine capacity.. the difference will be multiply by number of years the car has registered = backside tear
why not go for Force Induction? Its cheaper even if get fine.. $500 onli.
stroker kit is another ball game.. undetectable, nice clean work.. those uncle at viacom will not be able to tell the difference if the same engine block is use..
Anyway I spoke to my fren about it. He has a budget of around 2-3k tops and he justs wanna get more power. Not power as in to drag and stuff like that but power so that you feel good driving the car. So is there anyway to FI a car with that price?
3k can custom made a FI kit together with all the neccessary piping and a stock intercooler, but i dont think the stock ECU can handle positive pressure reading.. and i am not sure how much its a aftermarket piggy back ECU for Bimmer..
Err... I think the RB26DETT is abit outside the budget??? Besides, even the 2litre for the bimmer is a 6 cylinder is it not??? Think the only way to do it is to get the 1.8litre 4 banger and then stroke the M*****F*****G thing!
