i lost my mojo

after collecting my car from pml...my exhaust note CHANGED...completely CHANGED!!!

no more metallic whine at high revs. its just sounds like rapturem3s exhaust now...hard to describe . in short, it sounds like they hv replaced the entire exhaust system with a diffrent brand...from headers to the tail pipes. wot the hell happened? this new sound comes from starting all the way across the rev bend....while it was loud before its even louder now...its very smooth though...ok i m going to list down wot they did....

engine oil service
microfilter service (??? what is this ???)
set oil filter element (??? what is this ???)
oil filter o-ring
ECU/i-drive upgrade to latest version


can any of the above change the song to the exhaust? initially i tot there was a rupture somewhere...went down shine torch to take a look...saw nothing but water dripping...but the water dried up soon...so that must be from the complimentary wash they gave...

while there is no lose of power..its just too darn loud now that i cant stand it (i m afraid that i will fall in luv with it)!!!! can someone find my mojo back?

ECU/i-drive upgrade... i dun think they redo the ECU other than the i-drive CIP versiom. Can you hook up with the "number" i sent you? it's good to see if they messd up the map. know what i mean?

i went to J4C....checked it out..no leaks but the muffler in the middle had vibrations...i din do anything to it...continued to drive at high revs all the way...and guess what...its gone now....

now i know why...when pml washed my car..the joker must hv ram a ton of high pressure water into my exhaust! no wonder when i looked below the car to inspect there was water all over. there must hv been so much water up the pipes that caused the gurgling sound...those MFs @#@##$#$!!!....dun ever ever let PML wash ur cars.

in fact i dun think i m going back to them again...

the way PML is conducting after sales, its only a matter of time they will lose the dealership. as it is they almost lost it when BMW AG in germany threatened to have another dealer here. i think they shud have another dealer so that prices would not be only controlled by one. #@$@#%$^# M3 is still 338K!! KNN..never drop ah.

Their warranty or after sales service is like a anti virus software company. Each time you go for servicing there, they infect you with another problem so you will go back again - AND AGAIN! Sounds familiar to a few bros here?

Yo bro! sometimes really boh pian leh.. in order to warrant for the 3rd yr parts warranty from pml, you got to do at least one oil servicing from them.

So this time round, if its a one day job, i rather not ask them to wash the car mann! Anyhow wash and ramp the car!

And they just beat Mercedes for the first time in yearly sales.
Now they will even be more yaya papaya... sighhhhh....

pml is performance motors ? cool.. similar problem back in kl , autobavaria..gives crap services...

338k for m3 ..thats cheap .. 1 : 1 comparo , not conversion . what year issit btw ?

Water in the aftermarket exhaust can damage the steel wool inside. Not good. The exhaust will age faster and become louder. Changing oil can change engine note too. Castrol oil gives a whinney strained sound whereas Mobil gives a smooth sound. If they updated the ECU, changes in ignition timing will also affect the sound.
