But....the M3 Lacks torque....period..so forced induction is the way moving forward.... i bought the car cos i was willing to overlook the imperfection....but after 1 year of ownership and having the Akrapovic evo did help a bit.... I wanted more....
After test driving the c63....3 times.... In Slow speeds, intentionally getting into traffic jams and 1 short highway blast.... I was sold. So easy to drive, so relaxing, moves off great... Stops great too.
We can get into...'wah...but... M3 beats all other rivals in all reviews' till cows come home...discussion.... But car reviews always have the track element....
For my needs....at least....
99% of the time the car is going to be driven in sgp.... Revving the m3 past 2.5k rpm in order to get it going is tiresome afterawhile for me. Plus everyone thinks i am trying to race them....
The c63 moves off the line barely under 1.5k rpm.... As i am still running in the car... But have to admit that i have tried.....this past week, i used a slightly more aggressive application of throttle but kept it below 3.5k rpm.... Cars become specks in my rear view mirror.
The facelift addresses the short comings of the older model... New geometry settings for the new car with -ve camber and toe out makes turn in sharper.
I tried the c63 pre facelift and new facelift cars last month in shanghai at the f1 track......1 week after shanghai f1. The cars performed better than expected even with factory oem crappy conti csc5 tires....2 days of full track event at AMG driving academy.
