The pull from the propeller was too strong to resist so when the missus decided that she wanted a convertible, my thoughts turned to the Z4.

A weekend full of test drives and almost buying a 370z later, we decided to get her a nice 120i.

We went through the gamut of cars (all convertibles) - E200, Z4, 320i, 120i, A3, A4, Saab 9-3, Mazda MX-5 and the 370Z. There was no definite budget - it all depended on her comfort and liking! The 370z was a stunner (the coupe though, not the convertible). Effortless, sharp and smooth! However, a disagreement on the pricing with the dealer (who was quite a nice chap) resulted in me not buying it. Wise decision in hindsight.

However, her heart was set on the 120i: the size (She wanted a smallish car), convertible, auto-electric gizmos aplenty and a ride/handling which I liked. Saw one, put down a deposit shortly thereafter and got ourselves a great deal on an October 2009 car.

So she is a happy camper with a black with red leather interior 120i convertible. And I am glad to have a BMW in the family again!

So, hello again!

Cheerioz!
